What color light fixtures should I go with in my bathroom?

Does everything have to match? Whenever I have a customer who asks me for

advice on colors for bathrooms they always point out the color of the

faucet, towel holders and want to match that color exactly.

The problem with this and the thinking is that you are never going to be

able to match your light fixture to a faucet or towel holder because

the companies who make lights don't make faucets or towel holders. The

other thing on this that you need to try to accept is that not

everything in that bathroom needs to match color wise. When you have

everything matching the same colors your eyes no longer notice any

contrast and everything just blends together, and when you just spent

all the money to either build a house or remodel a bathroom the last

thing you want is to have a boring bathroom that nobody will notice

after the first time being in there. Keep an open mind to trying some

different colors or color that has a highlight which helps break

things up.
